The 41st annual World Airline Road Race convenes in Auckland, New Zealand this week. Air New Zealand hosts industry colleagues from around the world, continuing the tradition of welcoming other airline’s cultures and hospitality, now four decades, later.
The race has been held and hosted in Sydney, London, Ottawa, Amsterdam. Washington, DC, San Francisco, Calgary and Kuala Lumpur, to-name a few previous locations. This is my 38th time participating in the race, and I enjoy seeing friends and enjoy the local hosting very much.
This Fiji Airways A-350 will wing me across the Pacific tonight, DQ-FAM, “Island of “Bequa”. (I love the historical practice of aircraft naming.)
